Venue: Nairobi Day Trip
Begins on: 29 Sep, 2018
Ends on: 15 May, 2019

You will be picked up from your hotel or residence at 6.00AM and driven to the Nairobi National park for a game drive.
Nairobi National park is the only national park in the world to be found within the precincts of a capital city. Wide open grass plains against a  backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded.
At 10.30AM you will exit the park and be driven to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust  which at it’s heart is known for it’s Orphan’s project  that has won it world acclaim through the hugely successful elephant and rhino rescue rehabilitation program. You will get a chance to feed the baby elephants during their 11AM-12PM feeding time.
There after you will be driven to The Giraffe Center which breeds the endangered Rothschild giraffe. You will get a chance to interact with the caretakers, come eye to eye with the giraffes and feed them.
Following this you will then be driven The Karen Blixen Museum. The museum is of significance as it’s associated with the broad historical pattern of European settlement and cultivation of East Africa. Second, it is associated with the life of a person significant to Kenya’s past as the home of Baroness Karen Blixen from 1917 -1931. It served as the setting and basis of her well known book “Out of Africa”
