Woman’s Hope teams up with other Organizations fighting gender violence in our society for its inaugural fun run to be held on the 08/12/2018 as part of our campaigns during the 16 days of activism Against Gender-Based Violence. This event will act as a curtain raiser for the official launch of our Women Influencing Gender Gains ( WIGG) initiative to be held on the same afternoon/evening at the Hope Center. The WIGG initiative is an extended intervention that seeks to ensure that all women have equal opportunities to succeed. Trainings, mentorships and grooming form the core-structure of this initiative whilst advocating for policy reforms that will bring about the much desired systemic changes. Our programming; in partnership with Local universities, at our center and through the new grassroots initiative, we focus on the development of an entire gender. A combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships and research based project interventions to equip women to lead fulfilling and productive lives, break the cycle of poverty, and become role models to be emulated in their communities. Our running theme for this event is “Divas fun run; Transforming the Color of Leadership will be an inter university event targeting the six institutions around our Hope Center.
